About Us
Enrique’s Mexican Restaurant, formerly known as El Gallo Giro, began in 1998 in the small town of Kuna, Idaho. In 1999, after a long year of hard work, dedication, and love, Enrique and Ana purchased the business from the current owner Lucio Prado. Ever since the purchase of the restaurant, Enrique and Ana began to transform it into the business you know and love today. The menu is inspired by Enrique and Ana’s family recipes that have been passed down from generations. One of the most popular and well-known menu item is the famous molcajetes. These dishes are made and presented in a hot lava rock bowl, sizzling to the table!
In 2015 Ana changed the name from El Gallo Giro to Enrique’s Mexican Restaurant. After 17 years of making the restaurant what it is today, Ana believed it was time to give Enrique the recognition he deserved. Enrique lives and breathes his restaurant. On any given day, he can be seen shaking hands and sharing a hearty laugh with his customers as he works his way through the dining room.
Enrique’s Mexican Restaurant has embarked on many life-changing experiences through its 25 years of business, from winning 2016 Idaho State Small Business Persons of the Year, Best of the Treasure Valley, and Best of Boise. But the summer of 2018 was the most significant life event they will experience. The 4,600 Sq. Ft. building they were in has outgrown the demand of the community. In mid-September of 2018, they moved to a 12,000 Sq. Ft. building that features a 360-degree bar, San Miguel VIP room, Casa 1884 banquet room, and a patio. They are more than excited to share this amazing accomplishment with all their employees, loyal customers, friends, and family.
Enrique and Ana would like to give a special thank you to their employees. Your hard work, dedication, and willingness to make the restaurant atmosphere fun and inviting allow the owners to maintain a family-oriented restaurant. Employees like ours are the epitome of professionalism. Thank you for bringing your best to work every single day. Keeping a company alive is a significant task they have continued to do. We owe our success to our employees as well.

Grand opening
Enrique and Ana cannot thank everyone who has supported them through this journey. This has been a project that has been in the works since 2014 and finally made into reality, thanks to Absolute Construction and many other local businesses! They welcome you to dine and begin a new journey with them in this location.
